106: How To Convert An Anger-Filled Marriage to a Fight-Free Marriage

CE Hours 3

About this course

Anger heightens emotional intensity, putting people at high risk for 'dangerous driving.' Angry interactions in a marriage, like car accidents from speeding on a highway, can cause major harm. This course segment offers a comprehensive toolkit of anger-cessation techniques that prevent anger from undermining a couple's safe and loving marital bond. This course begins with four techniques for helping spouses get what they want without allowing anger to damage their relationship: --Anger is a Stop Sign --Exit/Calm Down/Re-Entry routines --The Depth Dive --The Best Possible Light The course continues by highlighting the rule 'Feelings First:' a core guideline for therapeutic interventions. It then adds further anger management techniques. The bottom line: To remove anger from couples' interactions, therapists need a broad array of anger transformation techniques.
